20 Great FS22 Semi-Trailer Mods
Semi-trailers are essential in Farming Simulator 22. You can use them to haul crops from the fields to your farm, for example. They can also be used for transporting supplies and animals.
Here are the FS22 semi-trailer mods I like the most:
1. Lode King Distinction
The mighty Lode King Distinction is finally available in Farming Simulator 22. It made its first appearance in Farming Simulator 19. Now, in the new game, it’s a mod by Giants Software.
This Distinction is a double hopper trailer. This means it has two compartments for various types of grain and two unloading hoppers. The trailer relies on gravity to unload. Once the bottom hopper is opened, the grain or corn falls through it.
In a typical Giants manner, the trailer doesn’t have many options in the shop. Not that it needs to, it looks impressive. The newly updated sound effects for FS22 are also perfect.
The trailer has room for loads up to 51,800 liters.
- Base Price: 73,000.
- Capacity: 51,800 liters.
- Max weight: 23.6 tons.
- Modder: Giants Software.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
2. Lizard Silage Boss
The awesome Lizard Silage Boss is clearly inspired by the silage trailers made by the American company Meyer Manufacturing Corporation. I guess Giants doesn’t have the license yet.
Meyer MC is well known in the states for making forage trailers in several sizes. Look up “silage harvesting USA” on YouTube, and you’ll see Meyer trailers in almost all videos.
The FS22 version, which wears the Lizard sticker, has significantly upgraded since the model was first released for Farming Simulator 17.
- New, cool-sounding sound effects.
- Updated model parts and textures.
- Dynamic cables and hoses that connect to the game’s trucks.
The trailer also has a live floor. Chains move backward and push the load off the trailer. This feature is delightfully visible and audible in the game.
- Base Price: 63,500.
- Capacity: 65,270 and 260,000 liters.
- Max weight: 27.7 tons.
- Modder: Bcbuhler.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
3. Wilson Pacesetter Pack
This is the awesome Wilson Pacesetter pack. It’s made up of one set of Super B (B-train) semi-trailers and a set of A-train semi-trailers.
Do you wonder what the A and the B means? Here’s a short explanation:
- A-train: The trailers are connected by a dolly. The dolly is attached to a large pintle hook mounted on the lead trailer. It also has a fifth-wheel coupling for the pup trailer.
- Super B, also called B-train: The lead trailer’s rear axles stick out beyond the box. A fifth wheel coupling is placed over the axles. The second trailer is connected to the fifth wheel.
A-trains can be seen all over the US, while B-trains are more common in Canada. In Australia, you might see B-triples (three trailers making a road train.)
Ok, with that out of the way, let’s look at the shop options, shall we?
- There are paint options for the covers.
- Color pickers are also available for the trailers and the rims.
One of the many cool things about these trailers is that you can use several Super B lead trailers to crate even longer trains.
Both Wilson trailer combos are on my FS22 semi-trailer shortlist. As for mods, they are outstanding.
Although I agree that we all should support our local farmers, it would have been great if the decals were optional.
- Brand: Wilson.
- Base Price: 70,000.
- Capacity: 55–60 m3.
- Max weight: 55–58 tons.
- Modder: SB_Farms.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
4. Lizard Underbelly Trailer
Clearly, not the most realistic semi-trailer available for FS22. However, the Lizard Underbelly Trailer is great for solo players like me when many loads need to be transported efficiently.
The trailer has several features I like a lot:
- The rear wheels can be mounted on a turntable, making tight turns more accessible.
- Thanks to each trailer’s rear pin hitch, you can create massive road trains.
- There’s a single hopper and a double hopper version available.
- You can get it with one or two compartments.
Of course, a max load capacity of 110,000 liters is also beneficial if you want to make as few trips as possible.
Inside the shop, you’ll find various wheel options and color pickers for the body and the rims. You can also add the Lizard logo in different sizes to both the trailer and the cover.
- Base Price: 90,000.
- Capacity: 80,000 and 110,000 liters.
- Max weight: 81 tons.
- Modder: Mantrid.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
5. Lizard Trailer Scissors
This is one of the coolest-looking semi-trailers in FS22. I like how the Lizard Trailer Scissors resembles North American frameless end dumps.
Frameless means that the dump box doesn’t rest on solid steel beams. Yes, the trailer still has a kind of frame. However, the pivot point is further forward than framed dump trailers.
The pivot point placement gives the frame a “scissoring” effect during unloading. The result is awesome to watch.
Here are the shop options:
- Different types of wheel setups from several brands.
- Coloring options for the dump box and the rims.
- Realistic or unrealistic capacity options.
There are also decals available in the shop. You can put them on the side of the box. However, I prefer a “naked” trailer. I find the decals a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
- Base Price: 68,000.
- Capacity: 42,000 and 300.000 liters.
- Max weight: 30.2 tons.
- Modder: Raulycristi1.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
6. Reisch Agrimaxx 1060 + RSDY-14 Dolly
The Reisch Agrimaxx 1060 semi-trailer, created by VertexDezign, is one of the most complete semi-trailer packs for FS22. You get both the trailer and a dolly, the RSDY-14, for use with tractors, for example.
The capacity is impressive. You can load it with 57,200 liters of goods. It accepts most of the materials that are available in the game.
Inside the shop, you’ll find several options for customizing the trailer. There are color options for the body and the cover. There are also wheel options available from both BKT and Vredestein.
One of the things I like the most is the fully working lift axle. The only thing I miss is a steering axle.
- Manufacturer: Reisch
- Base Price: 69,500
- Capacity: 57,200 liters
- Max weight: 31.9 Ton
- Modder: VertexDezign
- Errors: No
7. Doepker Legacy Super B
Do you need to transport a lot of crops fast? The Doepker Legacy Super B trailers can move a massive 75,000 liters in one go. The capacity is almost on par with the vanilla game’s Lode Kings (81,200 liters.)
The modder (FS ScreenShots) has built the trailers from scratch. Although the mod left a few warnings in the log (a couple of textures were missing), it’s an impressive build.
I particularly like that you can separate the trailers and just use one of them if you want to. There are also cables and hoses connecting the trailers and the truck pulling them.
Here are the customization options:
- Chrome or colored fenders.
- Steel or aluminum wheel rims.
- Many color options for most of the trailer’s parts.
The Doepker trailers have an impressive number of lights. They are a fantastic sight at night.
- Manufacturer: Doepker.
- Base Price: 120,000.
- Capacity: 75,000 liters.
- Max weight: –
- Modder: FS ScreenShots.
- Errors: Yes, see above.
8. Benalu Optiliner Pack
This is the Benalu Optiliner semi-trailer mod pack for Farming Simulator 22. It has the Optiliner 106 and the much longer Optiliner 133.
Both trailers come with cool animations. You can, for example, unfold a ladder that you can climb to inspect your load.
Here are the customization choices:
- Wheels from Lizard and Continental.
- You can add two spare wheels hanging under the trailer’s floor.
- There are a couple of logos available for the side walls (German companies.)
- Most of the trailer can be painted in several colors.
The trailers aren’t the best option for indoor offloading, though. As they are tipping trailers, you need plenty of headroom to avoid collisions between the trailers and the interior of the building you’re in.
A workaround could be to use the grain door tipping option. The box won’t raise as much as when tipping with the main doors open.
The trailers also have animated lift axles. Too bad the trailers aren’t affected by the weight limit feature in FS22. It would have been cool if the trailer could carry larger loads with the third axle lowered.
- Brand: Benalu.
- Base Price: 72,500.
- Capacity: 63–79 m3.
- Modder: no.naim.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: PC, Mac.
9. Fliegl ASS 298
The Fliegl ASS 298 semi-trailer entered the Farming Simulator universe in 2016 as a base game equipment in FS17. Now, it has reentered FS22 as a mod.
It has all the necessary upgrades, like animated cables and hoses together with a brand-new set of terrific sound effects.
The shop options aren’t many, but they include different wheels and colors for the rims.
I like that we have a couple of unloading options for the trailer:
- You can use the main door.
- It’s also possible to offload through the grain door.
The best feature, in my opinion, is how the load is unloaded. This Fliegl is categorized as a push-off trailer. Hydraulics push the front wall and the load inside the trailer backward.
In other words, there is no need to worry about the headroom above the trailer.
- Brand: Fliegl.
- Base Price: 61,000.
- Capacity: 48 m3.
- Modder: LanDEV.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
10. Lizard MKV Universal Tank Trailers
The FS22 LIZARD MKV universal tanker pack adds one of the largest tanker trailers to Farming Simulator 22. The largest model’s volume maxes out at a staggering 50,000 liters. That is if your truck is powerful enough to pull it.
The pack contains two different semi-trailers:
- The MKV2 with three capacity options: 17,000, 21,000, and 25,000 liters.
- And the MKV3 also has three capacity settings: 30,000, 40,000, and 50,000 liters.
You can put almost any kind of the game’s liquid filltypes in the tank. Yes, it’s also possible to use them for refilling tools like sprayers and liquid manure spreaders.
Besides the capacity options, this is what you can customize:
- The color of the tank.
- There are also color choices for the rims.
- Yes, you can change the wheels too.
- Finally, you can add a treadplate to the top catwalk.
It’s great to have these tankers in the game. They look outstanding. The only thing I’m missing is a visual change of the tank size that corresponds with the capacity selections.
Note: You’ll find the tanker trailers in the Miscellaneous category.
- Brand: Lizard.
- Base Price: 55,000.
- Capacity: 17–50 m3.
- Max weight: 25.1–50.5 tons.
- Modder: Kastor.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
11. Lizard MK Silo
The LIZARD MK Silo tank trailer is an excellent addition to FS22. No, this trailer mod isn’t used to transport liquids; they are used for solid stuff, like grain and mineral fertilizer.
Actually, you’ll see many of them on real European Roads, delivering fertilizer and mineral feed to farms, for example.
Regarding customization, here are your options:
- Paint options for the tanks and the rims.
- Different wheel setups are also available.
- A treadplate can be added to the catwalk on top of the tank.
The mod looks impressive, and it’s great to have more than one capacity to choose from.
Hopefully, we’ll get an updated version where different tank sizes visualize the capacity choices later.
Note: You’ll find the silo trailers in the Miscellaneous category.
- Brand: Lizard.
- Base Price: 90,000.
- Capacity: 30–50 m3.
- Max weight: 49.7 tons.
- Modder: Kastor.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
12. Krampe SB II 30/1070
The magnificent Krampe SB II 30/1070 semi-trailer has returned to FS22. It’s fantastic to have it back.
The trailer comes freshly updated with new sound effects. Cables and hoses that connect to the truck pulling it are also in place.
This Krampe mod won’t overwhelm you inside the shop, though. You can change the wheels and the license plate, nothing more.
The trailer’s usability makes up for the lack of shop options. It has a rolling floor for offloading. You can use it inside buildings without worrying about slamming into the roof.
My favorite feature is the work lights. There are two of them, one on each of the side walls. They are a godsend for backing up the trailer during nightly gaming sessions.
- Brand: Krampe.
- Base Price: 84,000.
- Capacity: 58 m3.
- Max weight: 31 tons.
- Modder: Giants Software.
- Errors: No.
- Platforms: All.
13. Wilson Commander
The Wilson Commander triple hopper semi-trailer is one the largest, if not the largest, single grain trailers for Farming Simulator 22. Its volume is massive, 63,000 liters.
This is what you can configure inside the shop:
- A painted or polished front wall.
- Rims of steel or aluminum.
- Color options for the outside walls and the tarp.
The modder has used some artistic freedom when making the mod. Real-life Commander trailers don’t have three hoppers. Perhaps they will someday if Wilson takes inspiration from the FS22 version?
Anyhow, it’s a great mod. It has animated cables and hoses. All in all, it looks both massive and impressive behind the game’s US trucks.
Hopefully, the modder will add proper sound effects to it later.
Oh, I noticed one warning in the log about the model’s shape being too large for consoles. As this is a PC mod, it shouldn’t give you problems.
- Brand: Wilson.
- Base Price: 88,000.
- Capacity: 63 m3.
- Modder: FS Screenshots.
- Errors: Yes.
- Platforms: PC, Mac.
14. Krampe KS 950
The Krampe KS 950 semi-trailer didn’t make it from FS19 to FS22. Giants Software did instead choose to go with the larger SKS 30/1050.
That doesn’t mean you can’t use the little brother in the new game. Here’s an excellent conversion of it.
The load capacity is more than 10,000 liters less than what you get with the 1050. However, the smaller size makes it a bit easier to handle, especially in tight turns.
The Krampe KS 950 mod has a couple of shop options for the wheels and a license plate. My favorite feature is the rear steering axle. It makes the trailer more flexible. Just so that you know, the bigger Krampe 1050 does not have that same feature.
- Manufacturer: Krampe
- Base Price: 62,000
- Capacity: 48,000 liters
- Max weight: –
- Modder: Bubber Drumm
- Errors: No
15. Bergmann HTW 85
The Bergmann HTW 85 is a semi-trailer that solely exists in the Farming Simulator games. Yes, some real-world Bergmanns look similar, but usually because third-party companies customize them.
The FS22 version of the Bergmann HTW 85 can be used to transport almost anything solid. It has an impressive max capacity of 84,500 liters.
It’s a perfect trailer for forage harvesting. The moving floor construction makes it an ideal choice, also where the headroom is limited.
There are several configuration options for the trailer inside the shop. You can change colors, wheels, and capacity. You can also add a cover to it.
- Manufacturer: Bergmann
- Base Price: 85,000
- Capacity: 51,500—84,500 liters
- Max weight: 73.2 Ton
- Modder: Forbidden Mods
- Errors: No
16. Artex TR3606-8
If you want to do silage US and Canadian style in Farming Simulator 22, you need a semi-trailer like the Artex TR3606-8.
It’s a live bottom trailer meant to be pulled by trucks. Live bottom means it’s equipped with apron conveyor chains that literally drag the load out of the box.
In other words, the trailer works great, also when there’s not much headroom to talk about.
New Features
This particular semi-trailer has been around since the early days of Farming Simulator 19. Thanks to Skywalker Farms, it has gotten a renewed stay in FS22.
Not only has it been converted, but it has also gotten new and brilliant features:
- Attachable air and hydraulic hoses are in place together with a cable for the electrics.
- It’s also possible to add license plates to the rear of the trailer.
- The trailer’s sound effects have been updated.
I enjoy the sounds a lot. It’s cool to hear how the chains rattle during unloading.
The shop options include:
- Color changes for the box and the frame.
- An extension that increases the theoretical capacity by 8,000 liters.
Note: In FS22, the Artex trailer is classified as a silage trailer. For example, it will transport stuff like grass, chaff, straw, and woodchips, but not grain crops.
- Manufacturer: Artex.
- Base Price: 60,000.
- Capacity: 57,000—65,000 liters.
- Max weight: 21.4 Ton.
- Modder: Skywalker Farms.
- Platforms: PC, Mac.
- Errors: No.
17. Great Dane Freedom LT
The Great Dane Freedom LT flatbed semi-trailer is perfect for transporting bales and pallets in Farming Simulator 22 (FS22.)
If you have access to some sort of ramp, you can use it to transport vehicles and equipment too.
The trailer has working tension belts, allowing you to strap down anything you transport on the flatbed.
My favorite feature is all the color options inside the shop. There are 3 color pickers:
- You can change the colors of the flatbed.
- There are a lot of color options for the chassis.
- It’s also possible to change the colors of the rims.
If you want to buy the Great Dane flatbed, download it, and look for it under Low Loaders.
- Manufacturer: Great Dane.
- Base Price: 35,500.
- Capacity: –
- Max weight: –
- Modder: Farm Sim Studio.
- Errors: Yes, see above.
18. Maurer 28 Foot Grain Semi-Trailer
You know, it isn’t always about being as big as possible. Sometimes, it’s much better to be smaller and more flexible.
Most FS22 grain semi-trailers are long. Very long. Moving them around corners without knocking down signs or getting stuck can be challenging.
The small Maurer 28-foot grain trailer is a breeze to handle. Sure, it “only” holds just above 26,000 liters. However, it’s easy to maneuver compared to much larger trailers.
The semi-trailer mod adheres to all Farming Simulator 22 (FS22) standards. Even the sounds for tarp operations and detaching and attaching are in place. Yes, hoses and cables too.
There are no shop options, though. What you see is what you get, but many times that’s more than enough.
- Manufacturer: Maurer (Now Demco).
- Base Price: 40,000.
- Capacity: 26,429 liters.
- Max weight: –
- Modder: Ross W. Modding.
- Errors: No
19. Aulick Auluminator
Are you looking for a great and authentic semi-trailer to secure your sugarbeets or potatoes when playing on US or Canadian maps?
Then it would be best if you tried the Aulick Auluminator live floor belt trailer. Sure, it’ll transport all kinds of Farming Simulator 22 solids.
However, I prefer to use it when it’s time to get the root crops out of the ground.
No Tipping Required
The trailer doesn’t need to be tipped to unload. Instead, the load is transported out of the box with the help of the conveyor floor.
This semi is also a conversion of an FS19 mod. It both looks and works great. I’m especially happy with the hoses and cables that stretch between the semi and the trailer once it’s attached.
I also hope the modder still has some motivation to add more FS22 sounds. And it will be a fantastic day when someone figures out how to animate the belt floor.
- Manufacturer: Aulick Industries.
- Base Price: 60,000.
- Capacity: 50,000 liters.
- Max weight: -.
- Modder: Rafter E Modding.
- Platforms: PC, Mac.
- Errors: No.
20. Jet Grain Hopper Trailer
I used to miss a proper hopper trailer in previous versions of the Farming Simulator games for many years. FS19 gave us some awesome Lode King and Wilson options. In FS22, there are even more great-looking hoppers, like this Jet trailer.
Just by looking at it, you can tell it’s one of the better North American-style grain hopper trailers. This is confirmed after a brief test inside the game.
The FS22 Jet semi-trailer both looks and behaves great. It has updated sound files too, which is crucial now that Giants Software has improved the audio aspect of the game so nicely.
My favorite feature is the cables that connect automatically between the truck and the trailer.
A couple of minor issues, though: Chunks of crops are visible through the tarp when the trailer is full, and there are no unloading animations for the hoppers.
- Manufacturer: Jet Co. Trailers
- Base Price: 62,250
- Capacity: 58,750 liters
- Modders: RAND0Msparks, Rafter E Modding.
- Errors: A couple of visual errors.
