8 of the Best Farming Simulator 22 Mower Mods

Mowers are crucial for success with cows and sheep in Farming Simulator 22 (FS22.) They can also be used to make silage that you can sell.

FS22 came with some great mowers, especially when Giants Software decided to add the Kongskilde pack.

However, if you want a more extensive selection, you need to look into mods. Here are what I think are some of the best FS22 mower mods right now.

1. Krone EasyCut Pack

The Krone EasyCut pack mod for FS22 is the best mower mod in 2022. It’s not only me that thinks that. The mod enjoys 4.9 stars out of 5 at the official modhub.

Sure, there are other 4.9 mowers for FS22, but none have the same number of votes as the Krone pack.

One of many benefits of choosing this mod over many others is that you get two mowers:

• A front-mounted EasyCut F360 CV with a cutting width of 3.6 meters.
• Then, there’s the EasyCut B1000 CV Collect which cuts grass in an area 10.1 meters wide.

The best thing about the Krone mowers is that you get several options for creating swaths, ready to be harvested by a baler or a forage wagon.

Of course, you can also program the mowers to spread the grass wide.

Regarding configuration options, there are barely any. The only add-on in the shop is for the EasyCut F360 CV. You can buy swathing plates for it.

NOTE: You don’t need the swathing plates to create swaths, but it looks more realistic if you buy them.

The Krone EasyCut mowers are brilliant mods for Farming Simulator 22. Everything about them, from the 3D models to animations and sound effects, is first-class.

And because the pack is created by some of the most talented Farm Sim modders ever (BM Modding and Wopster), I wouldn’t expect less. However, it’s always great to get expectations answered.

2. Vicon Extra Mowers Pack (732FT and 7100T Vario)

To be effective grass cutters in FS22, there are two essential requirements your mowers must meet:

1. They must be fast.
2. The cutting width must be as wide as possible.

The mowers in the Vicon Extra Mowers Pack are excellent in both areas. The maximum working speed is 22 kilometers per hour. The cutting width is up to 10.2 meters.

Both the Extra 732FT and the Extra 7100T Vario look amazing. The sounds they make while cutting the grass is a delight to listen to. Of course, both mowers have animated skirts.

Swath Dropping Options

You can add the Kvernland colors and logo to both mowers inside the shop. The reason is that the Kverneland Group owns the Vicon brand.

The 7100T Vario mower can group the cut grass in swaths in three different locations; left, right, and center.

You must buy the Vario BX model with swath belts to make this work.

3. Claas Disco Mowers Pack (3600 FC and 1100 C)

The Class Disco 3600 FC and the Disco 1100 C, from the Claas DLC, used to be my go-to mowers in FS19.

I will use them a lot in FS22, too, now that Giants has made them available for everyone as a mod.

The in-game models have gotten a delightful brush-up. All mowers have moving side skirts, and the audio files have been upgraded. The Disco mowers sound better than ever.

Swath Option

The Disco 1100 C has two settings for what it does to the grass it cuts:

• Wide spreading – The grass is distributed evenly across the entire cutting width.
• Swath dropping – Collects the grass in a centered swath that’s easy for balers and loader wagons to pick up.

The last setting eliminates the need for using a windrower when the grass is cut.

4. Fella Ramos 3060 FP and Fella Ramos 3670 TLX

The Fella Ramos 3060 FP and the Fella Ramos 3670 TLX mowers are essential parts of the magnificent Fella grassland equipment pack, created for Farming Simulator 22 by VertexDezign.

The 3060 FP goes on the front of the tractor, while the 3670 TLX is mounted to the rear. The latter is also foldable upwards, making it much easier to transport.

There are not many shop options for the mowers, but you can add some lights to both tools. A remarkable detail is an electric cable that pops up if you add lights to the rear mower.

VertexDezign has yet again delivered a superb mod for FS22. The level of details is impressive, and yes, the safety curtains flap during mowing and transport.

5. New Holland DiscCutter F 320P

Are you looking for a tremendous FS22 front-mounted mower? I recommend that you check out this New Holland DiscCutter F 320P.

It’s an older model, but I promise you it’ll get the job done.

Sure, the working width isn’t much to write home about. However, you can pair it with the New Holland Discbine below to cover more ground faster.

I’ve seen the DiscCutter F 320P in the older versions of the FS games. The FS22 version looks much better with its updated textures and dynamic cables that run between the mower and the tractor.

The mod also includes updated sound effects. The only shop option is that you can add some lights to the mower.

• Required horsepower: 40.

• Modder: no.naim.
• Errors: No.

6. John Deere HX20 Batwing

The John Deere HX20 Batwing mower is an excellent addition to most farms in FS22. Not only can it cut grass. You can also use it as a mulcher; just add the mulching option in the shop.

Flex-wing rotary cutters, like this John Deere replica, are tasked with different jobs in real-world farming:

• They can be used to remove weeds and grass along field edges before harvest.
• I’ve also seen farmers use them to cut corn stalks after the harvest is done.
• Dairy farmers might use rotary cutters to trim pastures, reducing insect issues.

The JD HX20 has some exciting customization options in the game:

• There are options for adding lights to the mower.
• The mulcher configuration is available for free.
• You can also add different wheels to the mower.

I’m impressed with the work Blacksheep Modding has done here. The mower looks and sounds fantastic.

And those animated chains hanging from the mower’s top are a refreshing detail.

7. Pöttinger NovaDisc Pack

This is the Pöttinger NovaDisc mod pack for FS22. It contains three rear-mounted mowers:

• The Pöttinger Novadisc 265, with a cutting width of 2.6 meters, 7 feet.
• One Pöttinger Novadisc 305. Cuts grass in a width of 3 meters, 10 feet.
• And the Pöttinger Novadisc 350, with a cutting area of 3.5 meters, 11 feet.

Yes, they are small, ideal for smaller fields. Pairing one of them with a front-mounted mower increases the working width significantly.

Here are the customization choices:

• You can add the Pöttinger logo to the mowers. Several positions are available.
• It’s possible to add a tank and a weight to all mowers.
• The safety curtain can be in rubber or plastic.
• You can also buy a swath plate for the mowers.

The swath plate is a nice little feature. It will collect the grass in narrower swaths behind the mowers. It’s also cool that the safety curtains are animated.

However, it’s the sound effects I like the most. The modder has added custom cutting sounds to the mod.

8. New Holland Discbine 313

The New Holland Discbine 313 is the first FS22 mower mod created by someone other than the Giants Software staff.

Its’ Diniz Farms that’s responsible for converting the New Holland mower to FS22.

He has undoubtedly done a great job. The FS22 version of this popular mower sounds awesome and looks good.

The updated mower has moving front skirts, but I couldn’t see the animation when I tested it. I believe it’s because I have the older version of the mod.

The mower itself is completely offset during mowing. This might require some planning on your part. Note that you can switch the offset left and right with a mouse or a controller.

The Discbine left a tiny error in my log after I used it. It has to do with an obsolete collision trigger for AI workers. This didn’t impact the performance, though. The mower worked fine when an FS22 helper controlled it.
