Top 7 Best FS22 Wheel Loader Mods

In the real world, wheel loaders have quietly been making their way from quarries to farmyards. With farms getting bigger, farmers have been looking for more efficient ways of handling stuff like silage, feed, and manure.

With their large buckets and powerful engines, wheel loaders have proven to be the perfect tool. That’s one of the reasons we have them in Farming Simulator 22.

They are also great companions in forestry work. Here are the best FS22 wheel loader mods:

1. Liebherr Xpower

This is by far the most liked wheel loader in Farming Simulator 22. It’s the massive Liebherr Xpower wheel loader.

You’re absolutely right if you think it resembles the largest Claas Torion loader. The reason is that Liebherr makes both wheel loaders and telehandlers for Claas.

The FS22 version of the Xpower loader has many options in the shop:

  • Custom design options for the exterior.
  • You can buy handrails and crash protection.
  • Don’t want a steering wheel? Joysticks are an alternative.
  • The windows can be tinted; there are several configurations for beacon lights.
  • Many wheel configurations, for example, the widest wheels for loaders in the game.

You’ll also find several attachments for the loader in the Wheel Loader Tools section of the modhub:

  • One pallet fork.
  • A stone bucket.
  • A large dirt bucket.
  • One loading bucket.
  • There’s a high-dump bucket.
  • And finally, a large log grab.

The Liebherr Xpower wheel loader for FS22 is an awesome mod. I especially like all the buckets and other attachments the modder has included.

  • Base price: 245,000.
  • Horsepower: 224 and 249.
  • Max Speed: 40 kph, mph.
  • Includes attachments? Yes.
  • Modder: Woodcraft Modding.
  • Platforms: All.

2. Crawler Loader Liebherr 622 Pack

This must be the most unusual wheel loader in FS22. Wait! Wheel loader? Isn’t it a bulldozer?

No, I believe the correct term actually is crawler loader.

No matter what you want to call it, it’s one of the best loaders you can get for your FS22 farm. Inside the shop, you won’t find many options, however.

  • You can change the colors of most of the machine.
  • It’s possible to buy a forestry cage for the loader.

The modder has also created many attachments:

  • You can buy a bucket, a manure fork, and a log fork.
  • The mod includes a forestry mulcher, a plow, and a counterweight too.

I think the Liebherr crawler loader mod is fantastic. I like how easy it is to maneuver. Thanks to its massive weight, it’s also great for silage compaction.

  • Base price: 58,000.
  • Horsepower: 275.
  • Max Speed: 20 kph, mph.
  • Includes attachments? Yes.
  • Modder: Blacksheep Modding.
  • Platforms: All.

3. Lizard Wheel Loader

The Lizard wheel loader is designed and built from scratch by the very talented North Modding Company. Among other things, it has way more animations than other loaders:

  • Cool animations when you leave and enter the vehicle.
  • The seat swivels, the steering wheel moves, and the door opens and closes.

This loader is also for you if you want to brighten your day. Or night. Literally. It has so many lights; nighttime almost feels like daytime when you fire up them all.

It’s also one of the easiest loaders to maneuver. The steering is more responsive and lighter than most vehicles in the same category.

The Lizard wheel loader is a prime example of what skilled modders can do in FS22. It’s almost unbelievable that we get mods this great for free.

  • Base price: 165,000.
  • Horsepower: 300.
  • Max Speed: 50 kph, mph.
  • Includes attachments? No.
  • Modder: North Modding Company.
  • Platforms: All.

4. Case 821G

The Case 821G wheel loader mod is an excellent modification of Giants Software’s New Holland W190D model. The modder has gone to great lengths, making this mod a unique Case loader that fits on medium-sized and large FS22 farms.

The large Case IH loader will also do great work at BGA plants.

If you plan to buy it, there are several exciting shop options available:

  • A lot of different beacon lights and placement options.
  • You can buy mudguards for all wheels.

In my opinion, the most attractive option is all the color configurations. It’s possible to create many exciting color designs for the loader if that’s your cup of tea.

A nice feature also is the extra interior cam. It can be positioned in any direction, removing the need to adjust the primary camera.

The modder has done a marvelous job transforming the New Holland loader into something Case IH makes.

BTW, did you know that the same company, CNH Industrial, owns Case IH and New Holland? That’s why the 821G and W190D look so similar.

  • Base price: 175,500.
  • Horsepower: 234.
  • Max Speed: 45 kph, 28 mph.
  • Includes attachments? Yes, buckets, log fork, pallet fork.
  • Modder: Fredzaza, BTF TP.
  • Platforms: All.

5. Claas Torion 1914

This version of the FS22 base game Claas Torion 1914 wheel loader is modified. It has a lot more customizable parts compared to the original:

  • The shop menu includes 18 sets of wheels.
  • You can paint most of the exterior in different colors.
  • There are Olofsfors forestry chains, including color options.
  • You can add tint to the windows and beacon lights in 6 different positions.
  • The front fenders can be removed, and buying the loader in US and EU versions is possible.

On top of that, the loader still has a rear trailer hitch. You can pull many of the game’s trailers with the loader.

I see many modders complaining about how their modifications with a few XML edits don’t get access to the official Modhub. They should take notice of this mod.

It demonstrates how much better an original model becomes once you spend (a lot of) time tweaking much more than a few lines in an XML file.

  • Base price: 248,500.
  • Horsepower: 228 and 280.
  • Max Speed: 40 kph, mph.
  • Includes attachments? No.
  • Modder: HR Forst und Fahrzeugbau.
  • Platforms: All.

6. New Holland W190D

It’s great to have the New Holland W190D wheel loader in Farming Simulator 22. Thank you, Giants Software, for returning it to the new game!

I must admit, though, that opening the shop options for this loader feels somewhat underwhelming. The customization options are so few compared to the other loaders on this list.

However, the New Holland mod has an advantage over most other loaders in the game: It has sound effects created by Giants Software’s brilliant audio engineers.

I think it has the game’s best sound effects for wheel loaders. The audio from the engine is a pure delight to listen to.

  • Base price: 176,000.
  • Horsepower: 234.
  • Max Speed: 40 kph, mph.
  • Includes attachments? No.
  • Modder: Giants Software.
  • Platforms: All.

7. Case W20E

The Case W20E is an interesting wheel loader mod. It’s relatively small and optimal for smaller farms in the game. It’s one of the cheapest loaders you can buy too.

There are also several add-ons to buy and stuff to change:

  • You can buy different sets of wheels for the loader.
  • It’s possible to paint the loader in many colors.
  • Tinted windows are one of the shop options.

In addition to the above shop options, there are also five attachments included with the loader:

  • A pallet fork and two bale loaders (for square and round bales.)
  • There’s a bulk bucket and a big bag handler.

The wheel loader also has different attachers. The smallest one works with front-loader tools. There’s also a rear hitch for pulling trailers.

The mod is good; I like it a lot. There’s just one thing I don’t like—the sound effects. The engine audio is not good at all if I’m honest.

  • Base price: 65,000.
  • Horsepower: 150.
  • Max Speed: 45 kph, mph.
  • Includes attachments? Yes.
  • Modder: Sleutjes Modding.
  • Platforms: All.
