Weeders and hoes are essential tools in Farming Simulator 22 (FS22). Both types of equipment can remove weeds. If your fields are free of weeds, you can get a yield bonus of up to 20 %.
Weeders and hoes are mechanical weed removers. They are better to use in FS22 crop protection because spraying with herbicide might give you a yield penalty of 15 %.
FS22 weeders take care of small weeds, while hoes remove medium-sized and large weeds. Here are the best FS22 weeder mods and the FS22 hoe mods:
1. John Deere 825
This is the fantastic John Deere 825 hoe mod for FS22. Being categorized as a hoe means it can remove both small and medium-sized weeds.
The hoe has some stuff you can add to it inside the shop:
- You can buy different types of warning signs, like a Slow-Moving Vehicle (SMV) triangle.
- There are also guide colters available. (Colters are disc-shaped knives.)
Note that you can’t fold the tool. Being almost 5 meters wide, it might require you to do some planning to move it between fields.
I’m impressed with how good this mod looks. It’s perfect for most North America-themed farms in the game.

The exciting thing about the Garford Robocrop hoes is that the mod adds three different variants to the game:
- One for corn.
- The second one is for sunflowers.
- The third one is for sugar beets.
Note: In-game, it doesn’t make a difference which one you choose. All three variants work with almost all crops…
If you’re looking for shop options, you have to look elsewhere. There is nothing to customize.
The mod looks fantastic. It does also have custom sound effects. No wonder so many players enjoy this hoe.

This is the effective Tupanjac 4-row weeder for FS22. It’s meant for working in fields where you’ve planted row crops, like corn. However, in the game, it removes weeds from almost any field.
Note that the Tupanjac is categorized as a weeder. Because of that, it only works in the first growth stage. It won’t remove larger weeds.
The Tupanjac weeder is as simple as it looks. There’s nothing to configure in the shop.
Not all mods need many customization options. Some work perfectly without. This one is an example of that.

Here you have the AgroMasz BM SP. It’s a versatile tool that does more than remove unwanted plants from your fields.
When you decide to buy this tool, you are presented with several options:
- You can buy a mulcher harrow addon.
- It’s possible to buy warning lights and warning signs for the weeder.
- You can also add a sowing section to the tool.
If you buy the sowing section, you can equip the weeder with the AgroMasz BM75 seed tank. Then you can both remove weeds and plant in one go.
The seeder can plant grass, oilseed radish, and canola.

There are no shop options for the Greenmaster 600. I’m not bothered by that. The model looks so amazing, and it works perfectly.
It’s also quite affordable and not too power-hungry. A small tractor producing 60 horsepower is enough to make the weeder do its job.

Note that it’s also the most power-hungry tool. You’ll need a tractor capable of doing more than 350 horsepower to pull this beast.
The Bourgault weeder has a nifty shop option. When you enter the shop, you’re given two options:
- You can buy the XR770-70 model with a working width of 21.3 meters.
- Or you can get the larger XR770-90 with an impressive working width of 27.4 meters.
