10 of the Best FS22 Truck Mods

With the introduction of Production Chains in Farming Simulator 22 (FS22), trucks have become a lot more functional. They are great tools for transporting products in large quantities from your farm to factories and stores.

Just don’t settle for any truck. Treat yourself to one of the best FS22 truck mods below.

1. Lizard Motors TLX 9000

The Lizard Motors TLX 9000 Series cab-over truck is by far the most popular and well-received FS22 truck mod in 2022. More than 1,300 players have awarded the gorgeous flat-nose hauler with a rating of 4.8 stars out of five on the official Modhub.

It’s the talented modder 82Studio that has created this player favorite.

The FS22 Lizard TLX 9000 is a mashup of many cabover trucks from American manufacturers like Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner.

These kinds of trucks were popular in the 1970s. Still, they disappeared because of the many benefits of conventional truck models, like safety, engine noise, and the possibility of installing more powerful engines.

Customization Heaven

The flat-faced FS22 mod is one of the most customizable trucks in the game. There are so many things you can tweak and configure:

  • The truck has 7 different presets with different lengths of the frame.
  • 7 different interior themes to choose from.
  • There are 8 unique edition variants (colors, logos, and decals.)
  • 6 different types of exhaust pipes.
  • Another 6 different front bumpers (Aussie versions, too.)
  • 9 options for rear fenders.
  • 3 different configurations for the lights – 2 different headlight options.
  • Rear rack or a log rack is also possible.
  • 5 different engine models.

Besides that, you can play around with rear T-bumpers, air intakes, beacon bars, and decorations for the interior.

The truck mod also includes many animations of the dashboard, the cables and hoses, the CB radio, and the mudguards.

I love the truck. It has so many things to be happy about. My only criticism has to do with the audio. It’s not bad, but there is room for improvement, like the sound quality of the jake brake and how it blends with the rest of the engine sounds.

Lizard Motors TLX 9000 Quick Facts

  • Base price: 118,200.
  • Horsepower: 620–2010.
  • Modder: 82Studio.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

2. Lizard TLX Phoenix Series

This is one of the most complete truck packs in the history of farming simulator games. The Lizard FS22 TLX Phoenix series trucks come included with so much stuff!

The Lizard TLX Phoenix is, of course, a fictional brand. However, if you’ve ever entered a truck in American Truck Simulator, you immediately recognize the lines of classic Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Western Star trucks.

  • First, you have TLX Phoenix trucks in various shapes and sizes.
  • Secondly, there are all the extras, like a bed for logs and a flatbed for stuff like bales.
  • You also get a tanker, a dump box, an auger box, and a dolly.
  • There’s also a pup trailer in the pack. It works with the interchangeable modules above.

Almost overwhelming

Inside the shop, the configuration options might feel overwhelming. Take a deep breath and tell yourself, “You can do this!” Then start building your dream truck:

  • Wheel options? Too many to mention.
  • You have tons of color options at your disposal.
  • There are 6 different wheelbase configurations.
  • Several engine options (485–1,582 horsepower.)
  • Various decals and special editions styling are also available.
  • You can also change the mirrors, the lights, and the exhaust pipe.
  • There’s an option to equip tracks to the rear axles instead of wheels.
  • The front bumper, the rear fenders, and the front visor are customizable.

Autoloading bales and pallets is another advantageous feature. Some flatbed configurations allow you to load goods automatically, a godsend for forklift newbies like me.

So Many Details

The modder has gone to extreme lengths to make the TLX trucks something special. The level of details and animations is insane. You can even adjust the mirrors.

The trucks also sound fantastic. The modder has added custom sound effects. Speaking of sound effects…

One feature I’m pleased about is the noise-reduced versions. It’s still TLX trucks, but the volume of all sound effects has been lowered.

I’m out of words to describe how incredible this truck pack is. You owe to yourself to try it out.

FAQ

How do I add the beds, the dump box, or the tanker to the truck?

You must choose the Rigid X2 wheelbase for the truck in the shop. Then, reverse the truck, so the frame is under the module. When it’s in the correct position, it triggers the attach function.

Help! I can’t attach the Holmer auger module?

You must buy the Lizard TLX Phoenix AgroWork truck for the Holmer auger module. It’s the only truck that works. Note that you can’t attach the other modules to the AgroWork model.

  • Base price: 82,119.
  • Horsepower: 485-1582.
  • Modder: 82Studio.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

3. MACK Superliner X

This is the best modified version of the Mack Superliner truck that came with the game. The FS22 Mack Superliner X includes so many options for configurations and customization.

  • There are many tens of colors for most parts of the truck.
  • You can add various headache racks and mudguards to your truck.
  • Some special edition designs are available. A lot of colorable decals too.
  • Many config choices for the fenders, the front visor, the lights, and the bumper.
  • You can also buy more powerful engines plus a wide range of wheel configurations.

One of the modifications I like the most is the sleeper versions. The mod adds both standard sleeper and coffin sleeper modules to the truck.

Another cool feature is that the truck works with most of the interchangeable modules in the TLX Phoenix pack above. Just remember to choose the Rigid X2 or Rigid X3 wheelbase in the shop.

Custom Sound Effects

The Mack Superliner X has custom sound effects. They are beefier than the original.

Some artistic freedom should be allowed. The most powerful engine produces 1,685 horsepower. The most powerful, real-world stock Mack engine produces 605 hp (the 16-liter Mack MP10.)

On top of that, the modder has reworked parts of the 3D model and added more animations. All in all, it’s a brilliant truck mod.

  • Base price: 118,200.
  • Horsepower: 485-1685.
  • Modder: 82Studio.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

4. Mack Grain Hauling Pack

Here’s another brilliant edit of the base game Mack Superliner truck. FS22 finally has a proper grain truck, thanks to the Mack Grain Hauling Pack.

The pack adds a realistic simulation of how grain is transported in many parts of the USA and Canada to the game.

This is what you get if you put this mod in your mods folder:

  • The Mack RS700L grain truck.
  • One Mack RS700L 6×4 semitruck.

Both trucks have a couple of engine options in the shop. Shopping choices are also available for the exhaust, colors, and wheels. The grain truck capacity is 20.53 m³.

But wait! There’s more:

  • A semi-trailer with a capacity of 35 m³.
  • And the grain pup trailer for the grain truck. The capacity is 20.53 m³.

One of the features I like best is how this truck makes it much easier to refill air carts with augers. Just move the air cart’s auger to a refill position and back the truck up against the hopper.

Kudos to the modder for bringing more authentic North American vehicles and equipment to the game.

  • Base price: From 50,000.
  • Horsepower: 500-650.
  • Modder: Bcbuhler.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

5. Fiat 682 T2

How cool is this truck! The Fiat 682 T2 is a fabulous addition to FS22. It’s also a wonderful trip down memory lane.

The truck has one of history’s most extended production spans, from 1952 to 1988. It was made by Fiat’s bus and trucks division, Fiat Veicoli Industriali.

Why is the steering wheel on the right side, you might ask?

I’ve done some research. This is what I’ve found out:

Italian truck drivers were positioned to the right until 1974, even though Italy has had right-hand traffic since the 1920s.

The reason? According to an unnamed Italian author, it was to better judge the truck’s position to the edge of the road. The FS22 mod reflects that.

It isn’t much you can configure inside the shop. However, one of the things you can change is the license plate. You can get it in a 1960s design. Awesome!

There are also color options for the driver’s cabin and the wheel hubs.

It’s fantastic to have Fiat 682 T2 in FS22. It’s a terrific mod. It’s a perfect match for the Italian semi-trailer made by the same modder.

  • Base price: From 58,000.
  • Horsepower: 132.
  • Modder: Peppe978.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

6. Peterbilt 352 Cabover

A screenshot of the Peterbilt 352 Cabover truck mods for FS22.
An American icon in Farming Simulator 22.

Man, oh, man! You have reached customization paradise! This Peterbilt 352 Cabover is one of the most feature-rich trucks in the history of Farming Simulator games.

It’s almost on par with all the options you get with games like American Truck Simulator and European Truck Simulator 2.

Here are just some of the things you can add to your truck and customize:

  • Front bumpers, rear fenders, and sun visors.
  • Headache racks and a roof spoiler.
  • Colors, stickers, and lights.

I think all the possible wheel configurations are the most impressive feature. There are more than 25 options available, ranging from a short, one-axle setup to a stretched two-axle combo.

The model looks fantastic from the outside, slightly more Roblox-ish on the inside. I’m not bothered by it; I’m just saying the cabin interior has potential.

The Pete 352 comes with custom motor sound effects. I like them, but I also think they have room for improvement.

No matter what, it’s fantastic to have a true American icon in the game.

  • Brand: Peterbilt.
  • Base price: 14,550.
  • Horsepower: 455—585 hp.
  • Modder: Whiskey Sierra Modding.
  • Platforms: PC, Mac.
  • Errors: No.

7. Tatra Phoenix

A screenshot of the Tatra Phoenix truck.
It’s great to have the awesome Tatra truck in the new game.

Many players wondered where the great Tatra Phoenix truck went when FS22 launched. It was replaced by several Mack trucks.

I love the Macks, don’t get me wrong. However, I’m also one of them who missed the Tatra at launch.

There’s no need to be sorry anymore. The incredible, eastern European hauling monster has been resurrected.

It’s not just another conversion. The modder has made sure to include several new options that weren’t there back in FS19:

  • Several options for the beacon lights.
  • It’s also possible to put a beacon bar on the truck’s roof.
  • Two different types of roof light bars.
  • You can also add different sun visors and air horns to the truck.
  • Want a 3-point hitch with PTO on the front? No problem.

One of the things I like the most is how smooth the cab’s movements are, even in sharp high-speed turns. It sways more than it bounces.

  • Brand: Tatra.
  • Base price: 121,000.
  • Horsepower: 462—730 hp.
  • Modder: AM Modding.
  • Platforms: PC, Mac.
  • Errors: No.

8. MAN TGX 18.500 4×2

A screenshot of the MAN TGX 18.500 4x2 truck mods.
It might not look like much, but there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Here you have the MAN TGX 18.500 4×2 truck. It’s a smaller version of the base game’s TGX 18.500 4×4.

Inside the shop, you have a nice set of configurable elements:

  • Rear fenders and cabin spoilers.
  • Wheel setups and color pickers for most of the truck.

I like this MAN a lot. I think it drives better than the base game’s original 4×4.

The modded version’s cab doesn’t bounce as much in turn as the original. This might not be a big thing if you’re playing in 3rd person view, but it makes quite a difference for 1st person players like myself.

  • Brand: MAN.
  • Base price: 120,000.
  • Horsepower: 500 hp.
  • Modder: Kasztan18.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

9. MAN TGX 6×4 Tanker Truck

A screenshot of the MAN TGX 6x4 tanker truck.
It has one of the largest tanks in the game mounted on the frame.

This modded MAN TGX 6×4 truck reminds me of milk trucks you can see on the roads here in Scandinavia. That’s why I’m so happy to see the mod in Farming Simulator 22 (FS22.)

No, it’s not just a milk truck. You can use it to transport almost any kind of FS22 liquids, including water, liquid fertilizer, herbicide, and digestate.

The MAN tanker truck mod doesn’t offer much inside the shop. You can change the colors and the license plates, that’s it.

However, it has a trailer attacher, which is very handy. If you’re using a dolly, you can hook up other trailers to it, even other semi-trailers.

Note: You’ll find the tanker truck in the Animals category, not the Truck category.

  • Brand: MAN.
  • Base price: 160,000.
  • Horsepower: 640 hp.
  • Tank capacity: 24,000 liters.
  • Modder: Tarczi007.
  • Platforms: All.
  • Errors: No.

10. Lizard RoadRunner

A screenshot of the Lizard RoadRunner FS22 version.
A Golden Oldie that attracted a lot of fans in FS19.

Have you played Farming Simulator 19? Then, I’m sure you remember the magnificent Lizard RoadRunner truck.

It’s, of course, not a real-world model. However, it’s still easy to see how it’s inspired by American truck legends like the Kenworth W900 and the Peterbilt 389.

I’ll admit I put the RoadRunner on this list primarily for nostalgic reasons. It’s a simple conversion with no extra goodies, unfortunately.

You can play around with the body colors in the shop, but that’s all.

  • No options for license plates or wheels.
  • It’s not prepared for connection hoses and electric cables.

Still, I like the truck enough to mention it here, not at least because it’s much more optimized than most W900 and 389 mods for Farming Simulator 22.

  • Brand: Lizard.
  • Base price: 161,000.
  • Horsepower: 620.
  • Modder: Norderstedter.
  • Platforms: PC, Mac.
  • Errors: No.
