14 Remarkable FS22 Small Tractor Mods
Farming Simulator 22 (FS22) has many tremendous small tractors out of the box. That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for more. A small tractor is also cheap, perfect for starting a new game save when your budget is tight.
They are also great farm tractors when you need a vehicle to complete farmyard chores on larger farms.
Here are the FS22 small tractor mods I think are worthy of a spot in your shed:
1. Zetor 62-7745
The Zetor 62-7745 is currently the most liked small tractor in FS22. Almost 1,200 players have rated it 4.8 stars out of 5.
It doesn’t surprise me that the tractor does so well. It’s a brilliant mod. I believe Smety (the modder) has built the model from scratch. It’s magnificent 3D modeling.
Most of the tractor parts are customizable. If you take your time, you can create a pretty unique version of this Zetor:
- You can change the wheels and customize the mudguards and the fenders.
- It’s possible to buy a hood-mounted air filter, different lights, and various exhaust pipes.
- Beacon lights, front weights, front linkage, and front loader consoles are available.
- You can also repaint most of the tractor’s exterior.
I used to drive a similar Zetor as a young teenager. Thanks to a mod in a simulator game, many great memories are returning to me.
- Base price: 10,000.
- Horsepower: 59–81.
- Top speed: 32 kph, 20 mph.
- Modder: Smety.
- Platforms: All.
2. International Farmall H
Now, this is what I call a Classic Beauty. It’s the International Harvester Farmall H tractor. It seems I’m not the only one who likes it. When I write this, it’s one of the most liked mods of all of FS22.
A short history lesson:
The Farmall H was built between 1939–1953 in Rock Island, Illinois, USA. About 390,000 of them found their way to primarily North American farms.
The FS22 version is a case of excellent modding. The charming little tractor looks so awesome in the game. It comes with custom sound effects for the engine. Man! What a delightful sound!
Being old doesn’t mean there aren’t shop options:
- Choose between rear mudguards or no mudguards.
- Add a three-point linkage to the rear instead of the standard attacher.
- Select the Farmall H or Farmall Super H engine.
- Rear twin wheels are also available as an option.
I’m having a blast with this tractor in the game. I’m sure you will too.
- Base price: 12,000.
- Horsepower: 26–30.
- Top speed: 25 kph, 15 mph.
- Modder: EY Modding.
- Platforms: All.
3. John Deere 710
It seems many in the Farming Simulator community enjoy classic tractors. The John Deere 710 is one of the most popular mods on the official Modhub.
The 710 model is a small utility tractor. The real-world version was built at John Deere’s Mannheim factory in Germany.
The FS22 version is just brilliant. Say what you want about Giants Software; they sure know how to make great 3D models.
It sounds great too. I believe Giant’s talented SFX team has had access to a real 710 when recording the audio.
The only shop option is to change the wheels from standard to wide. I hope a future update of the mod will include front loader capabilities and tools.
- Base price: 7,500.
- Horsepower: 50.
- Top speed: 25 kph, 15 mph.
- Modder: Giants Software.
- Platforms: All.
4. John Deere 5M Series
The John Deere 5M series includes some of the smallest utility tractors made by the famous brand. This fantastic FS22 mod brings three of the models into the game:
- One John Deere 5090M.
- A John Deere 5100M.
- And the John Deere 5115M.
The mod has some room for customization too:
- You can add different types of wheels to the tractors.
- Beacon light configurations are available.
- It’s possible to add a front loader attacher too.
I like everything about this mod: the 3D model, the details, and the textures.
I’m particularly impressed with how the tractors sound in-game. They have the best audible difference in the sounds you hear outside and inside the cab of all FS22 tractors.
The Giants SFX team has once again proven how good it is at replicating real-life audio.
- Base price: 77,500.
- Horsepower: 94–120.
- Top speed: 42 kph, 26 mph.
- Modder: Giants Software.
- Platforms: All.
5. Case IH Vestrum Series
I understand why so many players like the FS22 version of the Case IH Vestrum series tractors. It’s a tremendous model, with lots of details and good looks.
The sound effects are great too. I particularly like the slamming sound you get when you close the left door and the rear window.
The Vestrums are also some of the most feature-rich small tractors. There is a lot to spend time and money on inside the shop:
- You can buy different wheel setups from several manufacturers.
- It’s possible to buy beacon lights for the tractor roof.
- You can choose between weights or a 3-point linkage with PTO for the front.
- A mirror can be placed inside the cabin. Front loader attachers are also available.
It’s fun to drive the Vestrum tractors. The modder has done a great job adjusting the driving physics.
- Base price: 102,800.
- Horsepower: 100–130.
- Top speed: 43 kph, 27 mph.
- Modder: RedCat3D, Lukas2002.
- Platforms: All.
6. Ford 10 Series III
Here are some excellent classic tractors for you. Inside the Ford 10 Series III pack for FS22, you’ll find 7 different models from one of Ford’s most successful model ranges ever:
- 5110 (68 hp.)
- 5610 (76 hp.)
- 6410 (84 hp.)
- 6810 (94 hp.)
- 7610 (105 hp.)
- 7810 (105 hp.)
- 7810 Tubo Conversion (136 hp.)
The pack includes 4-cylinder versions and a slightly more expensive 6-cylinder version. In my opinion, the silver-painted Silver Jubilee model looks the coolest.
My favorite feature, however, is how the 6-cylinder version sounds different from the 4-cylinder versions. You can tell that the engines aren’t the same. Great work!
Speaking of great work… The tractor 3D models are made by one of the best Farming Simulator modders of all times: Mattxjs. No wonder this pack is so great!
- Base price: 38,000.
- Horsepower: 68–136.
- Top speed: 31 kph, 19 mph.
- Modder: JohnDeere2450, Mattxjs.
- Platforms: PC, Mac.
7. Case IH Luxxum Series
I think the Case IH Luxxum Series tractors are among the most beautiful tractors ever made. As FS22 mods, they are also some of the best small tractors in the game.
The pack consists of three different models:
- A Luxxum 100 – 99 hp.
- One Luxxum 110 – 107 hp.
- And the Luxxum 120 – 117 hp.
The tractor’s left door and rear window are animated. You can open and close both with your mouse or your controller.
The 3D model looks excellent; it has lots of lovely details. The sound effects are outstanding.
Still, it’s driving the Luxxum that I like the most. The modder has tweaked the physics setup to perfection. It’s one of the best tractors to operate in the game.
- Base price: 74,500.
- Horsepower: 99–117.
- Top speed: 43 kph, 27 mph.
- Modder: Blauea.
- Platforms: All.
8. Case Maxxum Series
Right now, the Case IH Maxxum series is the best small tractor mod you can get for Farming Simulator 22 (FS22.)
The model made its Farm Sim entry in FS19 and made it over to the new game. With this mod, you get a Maxxum that is better than ever, thanks to all the modder’s additions.
- First, the tractor looks really good.
- Secondly, the sound effects are outstanding.
I love the humming of the engine while the tractor stands idle. The mod also displays some cool animations inside the cab. The hand throttle, for example, is animated.
You can open the left door, the roof hatch, and the rear window using a mouse or a controller.
What I like the best about this Maxxum mod is how you can change the colors of the interior of the tractor. It’s even possible to add floor carpets to the cab. Nice!
Yes, you can also change the colors of the exterior too…
Overall, the mod is a prime example of what separates excellent modders from others. It can’t get much better than this.
- Brand: Case IH.
- Base price: 112,000.
- Horsepower: 145—175 hp.
- Modder: Schnibbl Modding.
- Platforms: All.
- Errors: No.
9. Fendt Favorit 500
Here’s one of the best modifications of the FS22 base game Fendt Favorit 500. It adds a lot more to an already excellent tractor in the small category.
It’s all the animations that excite me the most.
- The left door and the rear window can be opened.
- You can even fold the beacon lights with your mouse or a controller.
These animations make me miss a sound effect feature that changes the in-cab audio as soon as you open a door, for example. Right now, the sound is the same. Hopefully, Giants will change that in the future.
I just wonder why this Fendt mod doesn’t have more wheel options. The original model has wheel configs from all the FS22 brands. The mod, however, only uses setups from Mitas, Trelleborg, and Nokian.
- Brand: Fendt.
- Base price: 76,000.
- Horsepower: 110—190 hp.
- Modder: Green Agrar.
- Platforms: PC, Mac.
- Errors: No.
10. John Deere 6300
Are you looking for an awesome John Deere tractor of the smaller kind? Then you absolutely need to check out the FS22 version of the John Deere 6300. It’s one of the best small utility tractor mods I’ve ever used.
If you download this mod, you get two models:
- One with windows.
- The other one is without.
The best thing about the mod, however, is all the customization possibilities:
- There are many wheel setups from all FS22 brands, except Nokian.
- You can also switch exhaust pipes
- The cab windows can have different tones.
- There are also several versions of the rear wheel weights.
Another cool feature is the option to paint the driver’s seat in different colors.
On top of that, the cab has several cool animations of pedals and levers. However, there are no options for opening doors or windows, which is also the only drawback.
- Brand: John Deere.
- Base price: 15,500.
- Horsepower: 100—105 hp.
- Modder: SleutjesModding.
- Platforms: All.
- Errors: No.
11. Fendt Vario 300
If you ever get tired of the base game’s Fendt Vario 300, you’ll have more fun driving this mod. It has more options in the shop, and there’s more going on, both inside and outside the cabin.
The shop options include the following:
- Beacon light placements are now a separate customization choice.
- There are also paint options for the body and the rims.
The left door and the roof hatch are animated and controlled by a mouse or a controller. I’m thrilled to tell you that the hand throttle is animated too.
Oh, and the steering wheel column moves appropriately when entering and leaving the tractor.
- Brand: Fendt.
- Base price: 107,500.
- Horsepower: 113—142 hp.
- Modder: Schnibbl Modding.
- Platforms: All.
- Errors: No.
12. Case IH 1455 XL
Another great FS22 small tractor mod is the iconic Case IH 1455 XL.
It has been part of the Farming Simulator universe since FS17, where it was one of the first tractors players could drive when they started the game.
Thanks to modders, the cool-looking red one has been granted a new chance to impress in the new game.
Sure, it doesn’t come with an abundance of customizable parts, nor can you open its doors or windows.
- Some wheel options are waiting for you inside the shop.
- It’s possible to add front loader consoles to it.
No matter the few options, it’s still one of those classic tractors that suit most farms in the game.
My favorite feature is all the front-loader console choices. Yes, both Quicke and Hauer are included; even Stoll is available.
- Brand: Case IH.
- Base price: 102,000.
- Horsepower: 145 hp.
- Modder: Univers Simu Modding.
- Platforms: All.
- Errors: No.
13. New Holland L95 Fiatagri
If this list were all about looks, the New Holland L95 Fiatagri would have made it to one of the top spots.
I love how charming this FS22 utility tractor mod looks.
When it’s placed down here, it’s because of an unfortunate quirk that affects the driving physics of the tractor. More on that later.
When you’re about to buy the New Holland, these are your choices:
- You can change the wheels; Trelleborg, Michelin, and Continental setups are available.
- Weights can be added to the front, but not a 3-point hitch with PTO.
- Front loader consoles from Quicke and Hauer.
- There are also several color options to choose from.
It’s a great little tractor. However, you better take it easy while driving it. It has a bad habit of flipping over in turns, even when you’re not going full throttle.
This leads me to believe there’s a minor error regarding the mod’s mass configuration.
- Brand: New Holland.
- Base price: 36,400.
- Horsepower: 95 hp.
- Modder: SeviModding.
- Platforms: All.
- Errors: No.
14. Claas Arion 660-610
Here’s a nice minor upgrade of the vanilla game’s Claas Arion 660-610 series.
It doesn’t differ much from Giants Software’s original model. Still, it offers enough to be mentioned on this list.
- First of all, it adds more colors to the body.
- Secondly, the mod allows you to open the left door and the rear window.
Yes, I know. There is just one set of Claas colors (green, red, white.) However, I also know that many players love to paint their vehicles and tools in all kinds of colors…
- Brand: Claas.
- Base price: 120,000.
- Horsepower: 145—205 hp.
- Modder: Dithmarscher.
- Platforms: All.
- Errors: No.
