The Best FS22 Mulcher Mods So Far
Mulchers made their debut in Farming Simulator 22. Sure, there have been mulcher mods in previous games, but it’s not until FS22 that they have a purpose.
So, what do mulchers do?
I’m glad you asked.
Mulchers chop the field residue, like corn stalks, turning it into a natural fertilizer for your crops. In the base game version of FS22, mulching gives you a 2.5 % yield bonus. You’ll also get a yield bonus for mulching with the Precision Farming mod.
There are also mulchers for grape vines and olive groves. Their primary task is to cut grass to avoid weed growth.
Here are the best FS22 mulcher mods right now:
1. Kerner X-Cut Pack by VertexDezign
This is an impressive pack of mulchers. I started mulching in FS22 because of it. If you download this mod, you get two mulchers.
- One Kerner X-Cut 300.
- And the Kerner X-Cut 500.
You’ve already guessed the working width of each implement, right? Yes, it’s 3 and 5 meters.
What impresses me the most is the brilliant 3D models and their textures. Both tools are very detailed, but still no problem for most graphics cards.
Also, VertexDezign (the team that created the mulchers) has taken texturing to another level. The dirt textures are handmade. They look so natural.

2. Berti TFB-YE 200 by A-ndrea and ZioFicus
Do you enjoy the grape side of Farming Simulator 22? Then this beautiful little mulcher is for you. It’s an impressive replica of the Berti TFB-YE 200 vineyard mulcher made by the Italian company Berti.
Sure, you can use it in other fields too. However, due to the working width of just 2 meters, you’re better (and faster) off using one of the other mulchers in this list for that kind of work.
I’m impressed with the modeling and texturing work that has gone into creating the Berti. Although it’s one of the smallest tools in the game, it has a lot of stunning and fabulous details.

3. John Deere HX20 by Blacksheep Modding
The John Deere HX20 FS22 mod serves more than just one purpose in Farming Simulator 22:
- You can use it as an ordinary mower in grass fields.
- Or, you can put it to work as a mulcher to eliminate different stalks.
The mod has a decent working width of 6.2 meters, while the operating speed maxes out at 22 kilometers per hour (almost 14 miles per hour.)
The John Deere HX20 mod is another brilliant creation from Blacksheep Modding. It’s one of few FS22 mulchers with shop options; You can add lights and change the wheels.
The mod has several lovely details, like the dynamic chain guards for the front and rear.

4. Lizard Katrina 9000 by Miotto Modding and J.A. modding
My biggest complaints about most mulchers in Farming Simulator 22 are that they are slow and narrow. It takes so long to finish up larger fields.
If you feel like me, you should try the Lizard Katrina 9000.
- The working width is 9 meters.
- And the operating speed is an impressive 35 kilometers per hour (22 mph.)
The high-speed mulcher is branded Lizard. It’s still based on the real-world roller crimper Katrina 9000, made by the Brazilian Indutar.
Not only is this FS22 mulcher mod fast and wide, but it looks good too.
The modders (Miotto Modding and J.A modding) have done a terrific job creating a simulated version of the tool with lots of details and excellent texturing work.

5. Robert F2800 by E.T.A La Marchoise
Speaking of great-looking Mulchers… This is the magnificent Robert F2800 FS22 mulcher mod. It’s an almost exact copy of the real thing, manufactured by the Belgian company Atelier Robert.
The F2800 is particularly suitable for small fields. The working width is just 2.8 meters.
It will need much time to mulch larger fields, even if the operating speed is an acceptable 14 kilometers per hour or almost 9 miles per hour.
Regardless of the limitations, the mod looks fabulous. If you get the chance, compare it to pictures of the real-life model. Then you’ll see how magnificent a job the modder has done.

- Working width: 2.8 meters.
- Operating speed: 14 kph/9 mph.

6. Matrot BM6 by SimulatorGAMES and PipicH
Here’s the Matrot BM6, an FS22 mod based on an older mulcher model by the French manufacturer Matrot.
The company was an independent manufacturer renowned for its sugar beet harvesters and sprayers. However, in 2001 the company was sold to Exel Industries, which owns brands like Hardi, Holmer, and Berthoud.
The FS22 version has some fantastic features, like a double set of drawbars:
- There’s one drawbar for transporting the mulcher.
- The other one is used for fieldwork.
It’s also nice that most modders today master adding dynamic hoses and cables to their mods. SimulatorGAMES and PipicH, responsible for bringing the Matrot mulcher to FS22, are no exceptions.

- Base price: 9,000.
- Working width: 4.7 meters.

7. Robert F4700 by Paulo5090r
Are you looking for a larger Robert mulcher mod than the F2800 above? Then the Robert F4700 is probably what you’re looking for. It’s currently the largest mulcher made by the Belgian company.
I don’t know what it is about Belgian equipment; the fact is that Atelier Robert is one of the equipment manufacturers with the most mods on the official Modhub.
I don’t mind; I like the Robert equipment a lot. It does, of course, help that very talented, skilled modders create all the mods. Paulo5090r is one of them; his take on the Robert F4700 is brilliant.
I especially enjoy all the small details, making this mulcher one of the most realistic you can get in the game right now.

- Working width: 4.7 meters.
- Operating speed: 12 kph/7 mph.

How to Use Mulchers in Farming Simulator 22:
The Farming Simulator 22 version of mulching improves the soil. By mulching, you’ll get a yield bonus of 2.5 % added to your earnings.
In FS22, you can mulch fields where crops that leave stubbles have grown:
- Wheat and barley.
- Oat and sorghum.
- Sunflowers, soybeans, and corn.
When to use: Use field mulchers right after harvest and before cultivation.
What about grape vines and olive groves?
First, cultivate, then start mulching after the grass has begun to grow. You want to get rid of weed to avoid a reduction in the yield.
Is there a benefit of using mulchers with precision farming for FS22? Yes, absolutely. With the Precision Farming mod active, you’ll get a 2.5 % bonus yield for mulching stubble crops.
