Top 6 FS22 Container Mods
Containers are essential tools on many real-world farms. They are used to store several types of necessary liquids, like fuel, water, fertilizers, and crop protection.
As Farming Simulator 22 tries to mimic real-life farming, liquids storage solutions are one of the key elements you can buy for your digital farm.
There are lots of containers to choose from. Here are some of the most popular and well-received FS22 container mods:
1. Water Pack
Sooner or later, you’ll need water for your FS22 farm. Some factories might require it. Some of the animal pens don’t have running water installed. It would be best if you filled the troughs manually.
This Water Pack mod is one of the best solutions in situations where water is needed.
Not only will you get free water, but you’ll also get great-looking objects to place on your lands.
- One beautiful well, made of stones.
- An old, wooden water trough with a hand pump.
- And a fire hydrant.
Each object is easy to place, and they won’t repaint the ground textures when you buy them.
The fill trigger is generously large. You’ll get water, even if you’re pretty far away from each source.
Also, each object is placed in the middle of the fill trigger. That gives you more freedom in placing them.
- Mod category: Container.
- Base price: 500.
- Content: Water.
- Capacity: Endless.
- Modder: OmaTana.
- Platforms: All.
2. Diesel Barrel
I love how this Diesel Barrel mod adds a bit more realism to the game. Almost every real-world farm I’ve visited has some fuel barrels in the sheds or around the farmyard.
Now, your FS22 farm can have working barrels too. You can store them in your buildings or transport them to refill vehicles that need fuel.
- The barrels have room for 180 liters of diesel.
- You can’t refill them; when they are empty, they’ll disappear.
My favorite feature is that the modder has made the tank so light your farmer can lift it by hand, even when it’s full.
Other than that, the barrels look really good. The textures are delightfully realistic.
- Mod category: Pallets.
- Base price: 150.
- Content: Diesel.
- Capacity: 180 liters.
- Modder: erShaba.
- Platforms: All.
3. Small Liquid Tank
Do you miss the option to buy smaller pallets of herbicide or liquid fertilizers? Or perhaps silage additive in larger quantities?
Then this pack of Liquid Tank Pallets is something you should consider. The package contains four different tanks:
- Liquid fertilizer, 1,000 liters.
- Herbicide, 1,000 liters.
- Bonsilage silage additive, 1,000 liters.
- One diesel tank, 1,000 liters.
You can’t refill the tanks, though. Once they are empty, they’ll disappear, and you have to buy new ones.
I like that you can see the difference in size between these modded tanks and the 2,000-liter tanks that came with the game.
The smaller size also makes it easier to transport them on the bed of the base game pickup trucks.
- Mod category: Pallets.
- Base price: From 1,200.
- Content: Liquid fertilizer, herbicide, diesel, silage additive.
- Capacity: 1,000 liters.
- Modder: Didek96.
- Platforms: All.
4. Lizard Fuel Tank
The Lizard Fuel Tank mod adds more options for farm fuel tanks to FS22. Not only that, but it’s also one of the cheapest solutions for diesel storage in the game.
Even though the capacity is 10,000 liters, it costs only 5,000 to buy a tank. The cheapest base game tank costs 5,300 but has a capacity of only 5,000 liters.
- You can refill the tank from the fill trigger at the end of the tank.
- The tank changes the ground underneath to asphalt when placed.
I especially like the details of the pump on top of the tank. However, it would be even cooler if the digits were animated each time you refill one you your vehicles.
- Mod category: Container.
- Base price: 10,000.
- Content: Diesel.
- Capacity: 10,000 liters.
- Modder: Logan9760.
- Platforms: All.
5. Meridian Farm Fuel Storage
You might find the Meridian Farm Fuel Storage interesting if you manage a sizeable FS22 farm with many tractors, trucks, and harvesters constantly running.
With a storage capacity of 500,000 liters, it’s one of the largest fuel depots you can buy for your farm.
When you place these tanks on your land, it’s no longer a matter of having enough fuel. Instead, it’s more about having enough money to fill them.
- There’s no need to transport fuel to fill the tanks.
- You can buy diesel to fill the tanks from the refill trigger.
What I like the most is how the ground textures beneath the tanks don’t change when you place them—no need to repaint in the Landscaping mode.
- Mod category: Container.
- Base price: 46,500.
- Content: Diesel.
- Capacity: 500,000 liters.
- Modder: Cassy Blair.
- Platforms: All.
6. Meridian 16XXL
The large Meridian 16XXL hopper bin pack for FS22 takes care of all your liquid fertilizer and herbicide storage needs.
I doubt you’ll ever run out of liquid crop boosters or protection if you buy one of these massive tanks.
- The pack consists of four bins in different sizes.
- Your capacity options are: 92,004, 109,141, 120,565, or 137,706 liters.
- The ground textures beneath the bins stay intact after placing them.
- You can refill at the wrench symbol, which activates the buying menu.
- Need to refill a sprayer? Just drive close to the bin to activate the refill trigger.
The fill level gauge is a nice feature. Once you buy and place one of the bins, you’ll notice a transparent tube on the outside. When you start filling liquids into the container, that tube will tell you by how much.
The Meridian mod pack is based on the hopper bins that came with the game. They look fantastic, being both decorative and useful
- Mod category: Container.
- Base price: From 29,700.
- Content: Liquid fertilizer, herbicide.
- Capacity: From 92,004 liters.
- Modder: Perma’s Modding.
- Platforms: All.
