7 Awesome FS22 Bale Storage Mods for Effortless Bale Stacking

Stacking and storing bales manually can be a hassle in Farming Simulator 22.

Often, you must drive the bales to the storage and unload them one by one. And when you want to retrieve them later, you must do the same process in reverse.

Then, there’s the bale physics in FS22. If you’ve ever tried to store many bales close to each other, you know there’s no guarantee that they’ll be neatly stacked for long…

That’s where the bale storage mods below come in handy.

They allow you to stack and store many kinds of bales automatically, overriding wonky physics. They also automatically spawn the number of bales you ask for whenever you want.

Here are some of the best FS22 Bale Storage mods right now:

1. Object Storage by GtX

This is the Object Storage mod for FS22. It was created by GtX, known for making high-quality mods for the Farming Simulator games.

Object Storage is a global mod. It means that other mods can use the script that GtX has made. It also contains custom-made storage models. Right now, it includes 6 different storage solutions, all of which are placeable:

1. One covered bale stack for larger round and square bales.
2. A small, covered bale stack for small square bales (49–120 cm.)
3. One shelf system for most of the game’s pallets.
4. A smaller shelf system for the same pallets.
5. One small pallet shed for all pallets registered on the map.
6. A pallet warehouse that also stores most pallets.

Note: Some of the placeables have color options. You can also hide the trigger icons and spawn area markers for all objects.

How to Use the Object Storage Mod

Each storage solution has an input trigger and an output trigger. To store your bales or pallets, this is how you do it.

1. First, you must configure the storages. Open the main menu, look for the crate icon. Then choose “Configuration” and decide which bales the sheds shall accept.

1. Unload your bales or pallets into the input trigger. The mod will automatically unload the goods and stack them neatly.

2. To retrieve your bales or pallets, open the main menu and navigate to the Object Storage section. You can control what the mod should spawn and how much from there.

You can also use the menu to view the content of each storage and the amount of unused storage capacity available.

About Fermenting Silage Bales

What about silage bales that haven’t finished fermenting? Is it safe to store them with this mod?

Yes, it is. The fermenting process isn’t interrupted. The grass inside the bales will eventually become silage even when stored.

2. Steel Object Storage Sheds by GtX

This is the Steel Object Storage Sheds mod by GtX. It works with the Object Storage mod, meaning you must install and activate both mods.

The mod adds two types of sheds that can automatically store and retrieve your bales and pallets with a few button clicks.

1. A small shed for pallets.

2. One larger and open shed for all kinds of bales.

Both sheds work the same way as the Object Storage mod. Most interaction with the sheds is done from the mod’s section in the global menu.

The sheds look good too. Their somewhat aged steel construction gives them a rustic look and feel. They also have lights that the player can control.

The Steel Object Storage Sheds mod offers several benefits for players who want to manage their farms more efficiently:

3. Bale Storage by TethysSaturn

The Bale Storage mod for FS22, created by TethysSaturn, is another time saver. It has even more options than the storage solutions above:

1. You can add loose materials and finished bales to the storage.
2. How the stored goods should be retrieved is also a choice. You can go for loose material or bales.

The only exception is cotton bales. They can only be retrieved as bales.

This is How This Bale Storage Mod Works

1. When you want to add stuff to the storage, unload bales or loose materials at the unloading icon.

2. Interact with the mod at the wrench icon to retrieve the materials as bales.

3. If you instead want loose materials, put a trailer beneath the unloading chute inside the storage building’s drive-through tunnel.

TethysSaturn has created another awesome mod for Farming Simulator 22. It adds much more functionality to Giants Software’s hay storage building in the game.

Just note that unfinished silage bales won’t keep on fermenting inside the storage. Instead, the bales are turned into grass.

4. Bale Storage by KassaFarms

The Bale Storage FS22 mod, created by KassaFarms, uses the same script as TethysSaturn’s mod above. This means that it accepts both loose material and bales as inputs. The output is bales in different sizes.

When you want to store your crops, unload them at the unload trigger. The trigger is visible if you have enabled Interactive Zone Markers in the main menu.

When you need bales from the storage, head over to the wrench icon and activate it.

KassaFarms’ mod uses one of the smaller Hörmann sheds Giants Software has created for FS22. The mod consists of three versions:

Bale Storage 2

This storage accepts straw and hay. The capacity is 1,782,000 for each type.

Bale Storage 3

This shed can store straw, hay, and silage. Each type’s max capacity is 1,188,000.

Bale Storage 4

Here, you can store 891,000 liters each of straw, hay, grass, and silage.

If you want to store silage bales, ensure they are properly fermented. Unfermented bales will be converted to grass once you store them.

KassaFarms deliver another excellent bale storing mod. I especially like how the bale stacks get bigger and bigger inside the shed the more material you store.

5. Warehouse for Cotton by ZoddelZockt

The Warehouse For Cotton mod by ZoddelZockt is a valuable addition to the FS22 players who want to improve their cotton storage capabilities. It provides a small warehouse that can house a lot of cotton.

The cotton warehouse is a placeable object that costs 17,500 of the in-game currency. Its capacity is 1 million liters, meaning you can store a lot of cotton.

The mod is programmed to repack square and round cotton bales into cages on pallets. The pallets can then be quickly loaded onto trailers or trucks. You can turn the spawning of the pallets on or off in the production menu.

If you want the mod to spawn cotton bales, either round or square, that’s possible too.

Note: To spawn the cotton you must remove the barriers that occupies the spawn area. There’s a trigger for that on the opposite side of the shed.

Otherwise, you can do the following with your stored cotton crops:

• Sell it directly.
• Store it for later use.
• Distribute it to factories you own.

The only downside of this mod is that it might make cotton farming too easy for some players. However, this is a matter of personal preference and does not affect the mod’s quality.

Overall, this mod is an excellent addition to Farming Simulator 22 for anyone wanting to try growing cotton. It makes cotton farming more accessible for new players.

Warehouse for Cotton Quick Facts

6. Bale Storages by Achimobil and San

Bale Storages is a mod for Farming Simulator 22 that allows you to store round and square bales. Achimobil and San123 created it.

The mod adds two different bale storages to the game:

• One open-air storage where a colorable tarpaulin protects bales.
• A storage shed without walls where the roof protects bales from the weather.

The storages accept bales made from all base game materials. They also take bales of the following crops as long as your map supports them:

• Alfalfa and alfalfa hay.
• Clover and clover hay.
• Lavender and corn silage.

The round bale storage capacities are 2.6 million liters for most fill types, 1.9 million liters for woodchips, and 1.8 million liters for lavender and cotton.

The square bale storages have a similar range of fill types, with a capacity of 2.5 million liters for most fill types and 1.2 million liters for lavender and cotton.

Achimobil has created the script used by several storages on this list. For example, his and San’s bales storages work the same way as the mod made by TethysSaturn.

Note that this mod has one storage for each fill type. For example, you can’t put straw and silage bales in the same storage.

My favorite feature? The digital display in front of each storage. It makes monitoring how much stuff I have for my farm easy.

7. Bale Storages by Razak

The Bales Storages mod by Razak adds three automatic bale storages to Farming Simulator 22. Hay, grass, straw, and silage are the accepted fill types.

Here are the three storages:

• Round bale storage – Max capacity 400,000 liters.
• Square bale storage – Max capacity 1,000,000 liters.
• Small square bale storage – Max capacity 500,000 liters.

There you have it—storage solutions for all the current vanilla bale types except cotton.

The mod uses the script by Achimobil I mention above. This means it’s easy to use the storages.

• Storing bales: Unload the bales at the storage trigger.
• Retrieving bales: Interact with the cogwheel icon.

Razak’s bale storages also have digital displays, a handy feature.

Automatic Bale Storages for Consoles

You may have noticed how most of the storages on this list only are available on PC and Mac. So far, there haven’t been many automatic bale storage mods for consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox S.

This changed when Giants Software released the 1.9 patch for Farming Simulator 22. The patch includes an automatic storage solution that works on all platforms.
